Splunk is looking for a creative, upbeat Leader to join our team as a Global Service Provider Sales Specialist. In this role, you will help define and drive Splunk's strategy, as well as capture and develop key Service Provider accounts as we accelerate our journey to becoming a "Cloud First" company in all we do. This role is a key part of the Splunk Global organization accountable for building and driving a world class team of partner managers and SP Sales Specialists passionate about equipping, enabling and empowering our SP partners to embed the Splunk platform across their catalog of service offerings to rapidly increase growth. You will champion, influence, align, execute and govern global program execution, as well as own and run initiatives with key strategic SPs. Responsibilities: + Member of the Global Partner team, providing the sales leadership and direction for a cross-organizational team of Splunkers including partner managers, Service Provider (SP) Specialists, Solutions Specialists and Field sales to meet and exceed annual ACV targets.+ Build, develop and establish a broader SP RTM model, and drive program improvements to support, Cloud-native and Cloud-first partners, while supporting traditional SP partners through their evolution to Cloud.+ Work with colleagues on a global level and help develop global operating model principles, initiatives and programs to ensure Route-to-Market (RTM) Alignment & Governance as well as a consistent & predictable joint RTM engagement approach.+ Lead the effective collaboration of "deal level" strategies & tactics, supporting Splunk's regional PMs and sales teams to land new, or expand existing service offerings with SP partners. Includes ability to comfortably step in to negotiate license and agreement terms as the Global Leader on behalf of Splunk+ Work on problems/projects of diverse complexity and scope.+ Ability to act as a functional manager while not managing other employees as a primary job function
- Leading cross-region teams in order to drive Splunk sales opportunities into traditional and Cloud-native SPsQualifications + 15+ years Enterprise Software sales experience. You will have 10+ years of prior global alliances and channel sales experience, including business development leadership experience in Enterprise Software and/or Cloud Services.+ Intimate understanding of the broad software ecosystem and modern Cloud strategies around Software Development architectures, SaaS, etc.+ Proven skills building GTM pans for SPs and partner organizations.+ Strong acumen for negotiating complex legal agreements with service providers that have delivered multi-million dollar annual recurring revenue streams for software/SaaS companies+ Successful industry experience working with the strategic systems integrators and SPs that use embedded software or SaaS platforms in their Service Offerings.+ Strong preference for experience and relationships with Cloud and SaaS Service Providers.+ Capability to develop in-depth knowledge of client's business, organizational structure, business processes and financial structure.+ Experience selling at the CIO/CFO level in large, complex, enterprise organizations.+ History of growing revenue, or over-achievement of quota, attributable to the partner program and reputation from partners to back it up.+ You are a strong team mate, goal-oriented and confident, with aptitude and desire to build consensus and resolve conflict in a collaborative manner.+ Lastly you are adaptive and flexible, able to work and thrive in a highly dynamic environment.+ Bachelor's degree preferred and MBA a plus+ This is an individual contributor role + Preference is for candidates in the SF/SJ area, next is West Coast and then U.S. We value diversity at our company.
