Junior Credit Trader
Purpose of the role We are seeking a Junior Trader to join our Boston based Trading team which works across all five of Man Groups investment engines. The candidates primary responsibilities will involve trading across fixed income, credit, FX and futures. Specific responsibilities Trading of US, Canadian, and Latin America FICC (Fixed Income Currency and Commodities) business: Member of Trading Team responsible for handling of all asset classes within Americas region Relationship Management
Liaising with Portfolio Managers to keep them informed of trades/ positions impacting respective portfolios Monitoring of execution performance and progress Maintain & develop key relationships with relevant banks / dealers Identify & create relationships with key electronic execution providers with FICC business Transaction Cost Analysis: Work with sell-side brokers and internal team members to produce value added TCA reports Aggregate and analyze reports and compare to reach performance conclusions Assist with internal report requests / RFPs Execution trader for Credit, Futures, FX & Fixed income products primarily Ability to trade difficult to trades names (names having high ADV requests, high volatility, wide spreads) Assist with execution workflow management Aid in development of tools to create efficiencies in execution process Key competencies Bachelors degree 1-3 years of trading / operations experience at a financial services firm General understanding of US / Canada / Latin America markets and financial products Ability to work with various groups including Operations, Technology & Finance and act a liaison for the Trading Team Ability to multi task in a sometimes stressful environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Interest and ability to develop strong technical skills and be a technical resource for the team Demonstrated learning agility Diversity, Work-Life Balance and Benefits at Man Group Man Group is proud to provide the best working environment possible for all of its employees, and we are committed to equality of opportunity.
